A Soaked Long Cycle Monday

To be fair this is one of those quick I got to places type of journeys blogposts. With the past week ending up actually being to carry on video editing, To the point its been 3am nights and the shits in some cases but it eventually got there.

The Morning:

I got up around 9:30 AM to then get some emails sorted like a SDA for god of war and aftermath of attempting to sort a friend out the night before which hopefully does not lead to repeated mistakes. But we start by cycling my way to my first visit at a local garage around the 10am mark which then was about 20 minutes to sort out voxi which all it was waiting for was a pending payment. After that was a wet cycle on to feel the wind on my face and the sun was trying to peek out but in the end I got to my customers around 10 minutes late, but in a lucky way, it was worth it since of the fact I had to be in mount batten by around 4pm. There was

The Time to sort out the Visit

I got back in the shop minus being soaked multiple times and a friend if mine turns out was being manipulated by another friend like setting rules she cannot message outside our group and it's not even a long distance relationship, just casual friend that to be fair the chap gets a bit delusional with it.  The jeans were getting soaked and muddy and to be fair it was told the weather was to be coming in.  But once there was to sort out the Railcard out which locally is looking like it's worth me getting now the train I've used like 5 times in the past month, which meant to rush the print of the forms and then get passport and a bill out, but which address to use was the hmm factor since of future plans means no point in changing all addresses in case it gets frustrating.

But then it was a wet cycle , well that mix of dry with the sun coming out and as nearing the coast was the choices of the weather.

As I started Google maps up, it was a cycle to get things sorted and passing the roads and the houses before getting to the cycle path and that was heaving of dog walkers and such of families passing by alike. Well it comes down to eventually getting to horrabridge around the 30 minutes mark and then it was passing what I thought would be a struggle but not as much as other hills when getting toward yelverton. As I cycled up that hill and then the short path to the village , I had a phone call from a customer about an window for email missing so even though had to go elsewhere, it was a case of pressing 2 keys to sort it is the theory of Windows key and the up arrow.

Then it was to cycle on the main road to then pass the village of clearbrook, again this road and path were mostly spot on with bits and a few people in the path and stopped a few times for dogs to stop running in most too. But it was then passing a manner to then pass ponies as I was on the way to that village

A Mis pic of a dark sky

The wat path towards clearbrook

Once I was pacing with gravity down that road, I turned off by the pub right and it was then a few moments before entering the cycle path and sure I know I was looking muddy but it was feeling like a breeze. Ok sure there was a gate just down the hill so a small stop but then it was on the path all the way to Plympton.

The Cycle path nearing the Tunnel

As it was passing bickleigh after the Tunnel  which had more light than I expected due to budget cuts and it was getting to see how much trees have been cut and blown down from the winds when getting towards Plymbridge woods since that in itself was getting that autumn feel of trees passing before twig only for that winter period. Even though as I was getting towards the mini station, the rain was here to soak me though again, sure trees were some sort of protection but it was getting wet still that was an annoying factor.

It was also getting to pass the part of Saltram which had alot of people about and also it was nice to see the views of the River again, seeing opposite memories of when i used to visit there, with Charley for a halloween party and all other things.  But it was a bit of mini hills going on the muddy path it just felt a nice journey even with the mix of things that would not work out.

The Muddy leafy path of Saltram

Now as I was passing, it was clearing up but also was time to find out my next step of where to go from here and how to get to mount batten. Now using Google did help and I finally made use of that cycle path which reached above the range which I've been surprised on how useful that safe path is which it is to the city , so I carried on and eventually passed the Morrisons roundabout which lead me to the doom of going to cross that main road to then take the roundabout left and it is semi scary but made it

The Cycle path before it turns to the road

By that point it ends up almost a feeling of getting lost from how confusing it was going to become, i should have taken a right on the roundabout itself to take a cycle path straight near there but instead had to take it upon myself to take the estate road route and you know it gets even better when taking a right when it was to cross the road. But in turn , I eventually got to some nasty steep hills on the end by Turnchapel  and also crossing a bridge in the Park before Hooe which in itself was even more time delayed due a to a phone call that happens which later in this week was going to go more urgent, made it two phone calls I've headed with so far on that day to be fair.

Eventually it was getting there after one more mis-turn and then I parked it by the pole on the avenue entrance and walked my way to getting there to visit this chap. The visit went on but managed to Just sort the door by 6:01 which then a rush to get the bike out and pelt my way to the station for 6:35 since the train left at 6:37 and my god I was feeling it in the chest as I started to get up that main hill, but with caning pressure, traffic jams and chavs being supportive, I eventually cycled to the station around about 6:34 and got the £6.60 single ticket home on the train.

The Bike belted up on the Train

So it was a good time to type part of this up on the way but it felt a lot quicker than 40 minutes on the train which probably was due to the darkness kicking in. But that and mum texting me asking when I would get home. But I said around 7:20 which is about when the train arrived in. And well soon after the other chap got off at calstock with his bike, I was on the way to unload with mine.

Getting the Bike off and ready to cycle up the hill home.

It was time for that 5 minute cycle up the steep hill, I finally got home then it was time to have a nice meal at the end, Like this was one of those moments that was a big accomplishment and realisation I NEED to sort getting a replacement battery for the Elife Patriot.  But that will be for another day.

The Chilli with Sausage Rolls and Crisps too

So that ends another Monday and another day of work with something different, Since things were getting expensive to sort out and mistakes being made will cost me later on.

But Take care and we will catch up for more in the days and weeks to come, not much gossip but more reflection.

Tavistock Goose Fair 2022: is Back on a Saturday

To be fair this is one of the quick posts to get caught up on since of being able to have a final walk of the fair before the fair leaves on the Sunday. But we then catch up and get a train home (Again). But this is now coming to the end of the ease of that week. The vlog is below:

The Morning:

I would go into detail on how i was getting into the factor of forcing to be up until 3am to 4am to speed up the process of the videos being done but that pretty much some distractions, But it ended up waking up at 8am and then going for the bus. So i got up and changed and by 8:10, I was by the bus stop opposite the station of where the vlog begins.

I get on the bus and paid the £3 for the return since of the fact sometimes the buses are dealing with the card machines not working, but either way it was a quiet one on the buses. But then it was time to get off since it was 8:32 by the bus station and it was time to explore a quiet fairground in the morning, since they were not opening until 2pm then close at 10pm so its the 2nd time I've skipped visiting in the evening. But it felt timid and quiet to explorer, like one of them abandoned places video, gets to explore the lost and forgotten which actually isn't really forgotten since its only been like overnight and one morning. But have a peek at the pics while walking.

An empty look towards Extreme

The Tagada

Another look but with the chippy van

Twister

Parked Dodgems

After this it was time to walk to work and see what lies for me, which was a long way of stress. I Got in and started to plan semi what to end up doing, was not a good time.

Work and work

Well it was one of those long days with various question and catching up at the same time as an iPAd to change batter with hidden screws in which ended up my undoing since of the speed of this to be done and the speed of making sure it was sorted and the speed of the customer asking if it was ready yet and then the end of the day of finding out. But it makes amends when it ended up not showing a picture on the screen and not with the turning or charging, even with new battery and charging port. So it was going to end up costing £500 to sort out in the days ahead. But eventually it was about 6:15 after getting accounts done and then it was finally time to have a look at the fair, which means I missed the bus easily home.

Time to explore.

So I did what was said and time to explore. It was that little time left but It was very loud since of hearing it from 3pm and even when the doors were closed in the evening to do the accounts before getting out of the shop i was as well. Also the Stagecoach tracker did say it was over 10 minutes late. The Sky was nice and getting clear too.

The Dodgems semi parked

Tagada

Red up superstar

Dodgems and the booster

Which then i checked the app and rushed my way to the bus station which was ending up on time, and well I got on the bus and paid the £2.90 for the single to the Bere Alston station.

The Journey home

So once i was on the bus, it was then a nice 20 minute wait on that bus, which was getting darker but not as dark as the future. But eventually everyone except me was off the bus and i was on the last few minutes before it finally parked up and I got off, i think it was me being the only one there this time too.
the bus to the station

Now just my luck of when i got to the station, the train just arrived in, so i got off the bus and semi ran my way there and then sat on the train via the chairs and tables and was just the wait for it to go, which the ticket was £3.50 so it means getting a railcard for the saving in the long term.

The selfie on the train

Then it was a quite the change in life pretty quickly and well it means  it feels odd. But by 19:25, I was off the trai and a steep hill to run home on before time to greet parents and then have a bit of food before it was the end of the day

The hill to go

The sausages and chips afterwards when getting back

And so that was it and to be fair it was more video editing for the future forward on that, But from what things could go, it was going to be a long way to catch up.

Take care and more post are planned, it might not be able to be in the 2 weeks style but it will soon to be the end of the year and its going to be a long one so 2 parts it is.

Tavistock Goose Fair 2022: Is Back on at Night

Well, its the evening of Goose fair, things are gaining on the time and it was then time to finally show how things are at night, it is a chance to get things purchased and also the time of delays that were going to happen., Enjoy the vlog below:

The Drop off.

So video editing was taking HOURS and then it was even a bit longer with having a friend pop in and just play terraria and recover from a shit day at #crappycityplym which I'm also told about the issues facing teachers on strike there. But either way he was wanting me to walk him semi home, so I did and we passed the back of the fair with the path and then we actually start the vlog since it was to give me about 2 hours to explore .

the chatting while this was going about various parts and wanting me to take the time off and also more of the mentoring of him for working with me and other things about how me and him were alike in other ways. But then by the time it was nearing 8:30 pm, it was time to explore the fair.

The time to explore:

So we start the vlog at the top of the road, which was showing less and less people about but still crowds but not too packed to struggle to get by the people/ The rain was happening and we first took ourselves to pass the food and drinks zone and there was a few starting to pack up but there was Mexican food stall i didn't even see in the day but there was a few at night passing by.

A look at the car park

A Blurred look at the stalls .

As i kept walking, it was passing the tech stall which ended up having Xbox Elite controllers there for £65 which actually was tempted but you had to be good luck from how broken those controllers have been from working online. But then it was to carry on further down to see what was going to be shown. Since it was soon to end up nearer the  fairground to see what was it looking like in the night sky.,

A look near the library

The street with more tents

It was then carrying on to explore the fair and seeing what shows in the air. I'm not really sure what to notice since it was nothing of note minus looking around the sights while in the rain. But it was amazing how the nights look.

The Sizzler

The look back on the road

As we passed, it was time to head down to the fair and see what was going for. The sounds were loud, the queues for the food were getting somewhat longer and the smell of the doughnuts were in the air and it was nice to see how it looked and the feeling of the nights creeping in with how pitch black it was going to be.

Superstar

The Dodgems with over the falls being on top

But then we walk via the small path then it leads back to the road and we explore to go back to the square. Which we see tiny puppies and it was also time to check out more of the Christmas tat but it lead me to see a VIB 480 which is a mini console of pirated nes titles BUT has a USB Type C controller, which nope does NOT connect to a PC or Android phone. But I bargained it down to a £10 and then also saw the case spin up.

The Look towards the square

The Super VIB for £10-

The cage

The Roller coaster and Twister

But then it was time to finally head to get things sorted.

Purchases and choices

So, time was going faster and the rain was getting the little bit more of a drizzle, but it ended up me getting to finally decide the plans on what to do, So first we went to get one of those mystery bags for a change, which had a fluffy feel to it for the £3. Then more exploring and i decided to try one of them jumpers on to see how it feels, and it got tempting but I didn't have the £25 on me since online payment was waiting which means not enough for that to get. So I had to pass while checking for the paypal payment which turns out that was actually later on.

The mystery bag for £3

That selfie with the glasses

But then I ended up deciding to get back to the shop to drop things off but as things were being packed up quicker than i thought, I decided to make my way to the Bus stop to get the bus back to gulworthy. So it was that rush from 9:15 to get things packed in the rucksack and then get the bus home semi.

I got things rushed in and then locked the doors and alarm for the shop on, then RUSHED to get the first thing on my list back which was the commander, and the 2 for £18 is a good vibe and in a bag it went and I ran my way to further up the road.

The Commander headsets in the bag for £9 each

So I kept on running, some guy shouted "Keep that up and you'll get a heart attack, I shouted back "I've done this many times", but then it was to the blue tent stall which was to finally get a nice fluffy warm jumper for winter and you know what, after trying it on, and felt good, Got it for £15 and then it was like 5 nearly 10 minutes to try to PAY with chip and PIN since i only had that on the revolut card i've not activated for months.

Passing the junction

But it was going to be the tough part of then just hoping it would go straight but things never do. I finally got to the bus stop and it was then the news.

The bags while wating for the bus

The Accident to run back semi home

So It was then to wait for the bus and you know, things don't turn out, so one of the council chaps turns out, wait a Police car zooms past up the hill, some people ay that sounds like bad news and you know, it really was going to be.  So turns out there was a RTA on the road to gulworthy, So that means no ETA on when the bus is coming back. Well you know what that means. RUN.

So we started the run, using the lamp from the Vlogging kit to get me most of the footpath by the canal, which was a pitch black long way off, but it takes time to run with 2 bags in this path. By 20 minutes later I got to the viaduct where I've walked Rosie in the past.

The selfie in the pitch black

Then it was running that bit more in the rain and muddy path, which lead to the main road  and we then see the accident, it was actually on the corner. So then it was time to take the back road to go back to Gulworthy, which passes to behind the harvest home.

The Accident causing the queues

The cars piling up

But then it was a call just as I got myself near the junction of where the backroad joins to the road to bere Alston and crosses gulworthy, and she was a bit not happy but I said I'll be in gulworhty and well i got there about 15 minutes later, passing the car park which was where the bus was going and I did have a 4x4 ask me if I wanted a lift. I said no and then made my way to the roundabout.
This had taken about an hour or so due to the bags and laptop slowing me down in the rain.

The selfie after the run

The Night:

So it comes to the end of the evening, the vlog ended about here and eventually parents pick me up and say they didnt go in the evening due to the rain happening too. But it was then about 10:40pm and we finally got home, unloaded the jumper to the bed, it was time to sort things out and I was go have some leftover chicken potato pasta and some of the leftover donuts the friend earlier got me, which have that funky taste but I want to really buy a 20kg bag of donut mix  for a girl at one point. But it always means the getting that far aspect.

The Jumper when I got back

The leftover PAsta with the donuts from the tea

So then I tried to stay awake to edit but I needed to sleep after this since I was exhausted. But that ended the day for me and there we go.

The end of the day.

Take care and the Story of how it goes for the Weekend is approaching soon.

Tavistock Goose Fair 2022: Is Back in the Day

Well,  its the big moment now and things are going to get a risk and also nice to finally see something new out for this, well there were a FAIR bit of technical hitches for the most part and well the vlog is below of what I managed to capture in. But with over a fair amount of time. So we now start the big day, even 2 weeks later for the vlog to be uploaded.

The Morning:

Getting into Tavi

So, it was walking up after sleeping at 4am and then getting up around the 7am - 8am mark which Dad was insisting  to drop me off to a degree since of his regular customer where um normal drops me off to Tavi, since I should have e gotten the bus but it was easier for him to do this. But by about 8:30 I was up and ready to go with filming equipment and laptop in rucksack for this moment of the big filming, glasses were mostly full on battery wise and the weather was looking good for a change.

The start of the drive to Tavi in the day.

But then it got to the queues as we got to spar, so Dad dropped me off and of all things I remember i had a thing to drop off to a customer and that meant it was going to be dropped off and ended up going to sort a passport renewal out of all things. But that then finished about the 9:30am mark to rush to the shop to unload and prepare the filming with the Phone and glasses charged up.

The shop to sort out:

But then it was setting things up like making sure the SD card was empty. It was not so i had to wipe the card but the Realtek Card reader in the Clevo laptop was not up to scratch so had to reinstall the driver. But then it was 10:20 and time to start filming and explore the fair.

But i got in the shop and was time to clear some bits out to make some room, stock and some parts off the table and the laptop unbagged to make this shit start to actually work out. I changed the wallet to make sure NFC was blocked which a wallet from a Christmas present was actually.   I started to film and well you know, it was just for the smaller  things really.

But it was time to film.

The

The First Attempt.

So if im remembering, it was time to go out and get this done. So we begin to explore from passing airband to even passing stores with plaques on and well it it was not as far reaching stalls as it could have been but a nice amount was to be shown off. But exploring stalls from Headsets to the derp memes of sonic and knuckles and then it was passing other food before was supposed to be going up the hill to the cattle market. Turns out i was recording myself walking up there and didn't even know if it got any footage from what i did before.

REWIND

I ran back down to the shop and checked the clips out and it did miss some of them when filming. So my anger means we formatted the card and started again. So it was to repeat the beginning of the vlog to see how things go and end up becoming a bit more organised with it.

Time to explore:

Passing the stalls and making our way up to the cattle market, with seeing non derped plushies of sonic and the plaques as well as the times of the other stalls on thaty side road before the walk to the cattle market. But eventually walking up there was going to lead me there by 11am.

The Cattle market:

I got there and it pretty much turned out to be quite interesting with some of the stalls, from the local bread stall to even milk bottoms that look like the rainbow on that side of things hence  that quote from the clip of that trader to match my shirt of the each colour to match my sdhirt. But itr had its famuilalr ring to see the area with some of the same style stalls returning back from 2019./

The View as looking in

But as we passed, it was to enter the parts to see ponies and calf's enjoying some hey and the usual habits for that is seen on most occasions. But they seemed to be content.

The calfs

So it then leads to exiting that and getting to the closer part of the actual barn, but we passed more socks, a farm shop i've cycled to a few times and seeing the coffee cake that was there. Plus they did even ankle fishing boots too. But passing that by and even some charity stalls to the return of the beagles. .

The beagles being sleepy

But then it leads to the aspects of entering the barn to see what is in there, birds this year will not be there due to the aviation flu that is going around ,so it means it can be no birds shown. So it was a mix of goats and lambs to be in the semi warm. But it was showing some of the farms they were coming from too.

The lambs

Bless them

AS i explored and see, it was time to venture out and a big stall of juice from Tavi College, so it means to down a free sample and maybe considering support to the school that had not got a bad ofsted rating and the PE teacher is now the principal. But bless the kid for having high hopes for trying to get me to buy a bottle of fresh pressed apple juice for £4. But that was my cue to the exit and time to head to the square.

A view of the yard

So with the guess of getting up that hill then it means to sort out the time of well the exploring of the roads and the stalls, I had to go with the flow on this one to fine out if the footage was going to work or not.

The Road and Square.

We carry on and walk our way to the square which some nice extra side of the stalls and it was finding what could be there, some things always will be the same such as the food stalls and the jumpers and hoodies. But we start to see the caoursel on the car park and a fun house.

The fun house and caurosel

More of the prize stalls

But it ends up time to finally walk up that road of mile to see how it goes and what to explore. So as i walked up, passing some of the tat, the animal hoodies, rick and morty wallets and also bucket hats was a seasonal aspect from the sound of it. But it was also the end of seeing the auction truck of Phil Saunders too. But as we approached the amusements it was time to play some monopoly slots which was gamble £1, win a £1 so it was not really a profit, since i broke even.

The View of the road to take

The Amusements

Then it was time to continue walking up, since there were some more ideas of crafts, some food ideas and the same as further down like the Plushies of game characters, Bucket hats but there was even was a chance of seeing Anon masks which was a new one, even if it was chromed up, choom.

The views as we keep walking

We end up carrying on and it was soon to look near the twister, and since i was not sure on the glasses, it weas not the time to end up checking that, so I looked at the little mini hardware stall, making that mental note for what to get later on. Then it was time to turn left.

The Sizzler

The Fairground,

So i got there and it was not fully packed but it was loud and the usual vibe and smells of the engines and donuts. But there was a nice sign of most going on and just enjoy the pics since it was a quick few minutes of exploring before our journey continues.

The Aspect of the fair as i walked in

The Walzter

A Peek at eXtreme

Superstar

The Thriller Express Matterhorn

So it was then time to head back to the road and continue the journey.

Time To head up the road:

So we turn left by the bus station and walk our way back up to the roundabout, so it was first seeing the stalls and the slushie stand, the candy stalls were having strobe light. Then it was chatting to a guy about fudge and he was clearing slowly but surely his bags of fudge. But Yorkshire pudding wraps are a trend of pengness these days too.

The Yorkshire pudding wraps on the left

But it was then passing another stall of tech and goods and even some usb cables to earphones and even gaming controllers was a nice touch, later we see the xbox series elite controllers for, begores that w3as nice to see and a good value too. But it was open box so a risk on itself. But then it was time to head towards the food court which is known as the food and drinks zone.

The food and drinks zone

Now this was more spaced out for the most part which, gave me the indication of a bit less stalls but some interesting ones like the rattlers and also a Mexican food stand but the cost  of living has made chips rocket to like £4 for a special skin on style with the extras dipping on top for a price like woah. But then we walked on and it was some more food stalls and a bit of others. But it was then time to get to the end which was very near. But it eas also cute earrings to see how it looks too.

The ear-rings and festive jewellery.

But then it was time to make our way back.

The purchases on thew way back:

So it was time to head back and get things on the way, which it was nearing the midday to 1pm vibe and usually this time, it would be the times to get the food and go home, now this wont happen so it means to go back to the shop. But we first go back to the stall with the tools and parts and spend £5 on batteries, cables ties, tweezer and that's about it.

The £5 on scissors, Batteries, Cables ties and even tweezer

Then we head back to the square, it was getting to pass the stardust and another £1 spent but lost this time on a deal or no deal slot machine. But then it headed off to get some shortbread which is a tradition to then send of to suppliers as a thank you,

The Shortbread of £4 for £10

But then it was time to go to the square   to explore options of what food to go for which was the case in point. Normally its a donut burger but i didn't fancy doughnuts since the taste has been off for me recently. So explore pics pics of the square while i was deciding what to use for lunch. That and chatting to people at airband and advising me not to change from Smarty since pricing wise as about the same as them.

The stalls and the town hall

A look towards the fair and the sizzer next door

A sign of the square but also with the cage in the motion

a look at the carousel

Time for lunch

Now we start to really make the choice of going for something, in this case it was going to be a bacon waffle burger. So the trick was to find waffles, and we had to venture further up towards the Bedford. But then that was the start of it and it was £4 each waffle. Total was £8

Then it was to go back to the square and get a bacon burger, this was £4.50 BUT it ended up being the case of they got the order mixed up and gave me a bacon cheeseburger instead. So having to wait a bit longer to get a normal bacon burger is the wait.  But then that was delivered and the making of it appears here.

@omracer a #howto #make a #bacon #waffle #burger or #waffleburger or #baconburgerwaffle ♬ original sound - Mattie LT Marker

So it was then back to the shop and the time to get the laptop setup for editing, it was ending up around the 2pm at this point mark, especially as the timings to get this done was insane and turning out i was going to take MUCH longer than i expected it to handle. This laptop was going to be put through its paces, but you will find out how much so.

The Bacon Waffle burger

Editing was going to be for the next 6 hours on that day.

The bereal

So that ends that and we catch up soon for the evening.
