A Sunny Fireworks Championship

Well well well, things are finally in the summer and work has been just about right to get things sorted out. It's time for a fireworks championships and last time I was here, it was seeing someone that years later is something. The vlog is below and see how it goes from here.

The Day of work and stress

But our day begins with catch-up from working frantically and mistakes to be made but eases up eventually. Which was after a weekend of just chaos and confusion from scams. But from one desktop with coolers to sort and change to more overdone parts and fitting 2.5 in 3.5. plus orders to be done. And found out I had a match on hinge ain't half bad too. Eventually I go with my colleague to get fish and chips for a customer and he has some fun banger with some relative friends and £8 to get that fish and chips ain't too bad small cod and medium chips mind you.

Then we walk and talk about the gamble I'm supposed to block an ongoing debt else I give him some stock he wants, which the rate it's going is looking likely. But hey that's me for you. Then it's delivering the fish and chips to a friend from work which then to listen to the good news he wanted to share and that eases some chapters of bad in life.

After talking for a while and being invited to go to a pub with him, I realised the bus was going to be a half hour wait, so I left for the 18:45 bus which if you take traffic into account, was actually a good time to kill. With my green or lime shoes for £7 in Primark last week, I was excited for a standout vibe. I got on the bus and it was really quiet, with hardly anyone on the bus on the top, I got front row, so it was a very quiet £2 journey, even through to yelverton which then some people got on but like one person.

Eventually it was passing 7pm, the heat on the shoulders and a nice time to keep typing up while also checking on that new hinge match. Glass ready and the train still on.

Passing Yelverton and the neon trainers

By the time I got to the George, I blocked and also had to have people filling up the top, a family I was ended up sitting next to and it was nice to finally deal with a busy bus, the change of heart and the move means I get to finally get to get the train home and not a run to rush the bus back.

The Park and Ride

Then it was time to head down to the city, the traffic was getting a bit calmer and hearing gossips and kids, but hearing the story of the airport closed under lease until 2027 is a new one and passing roads ive cycled to a station from a customers with the old bike gives me memories too. Passing marjon and then to derriford was the long haul. But it was soon to be on the big stretch.

A City to gamble then the walk to the Hoe

The city was busy, the sun was warm and the passing of mutley reminded me of 10 years ago with how I used to venture on nights out. But it was soon time to get the planning in what to expect today. My first case was the casino to catch up on winnings or some cards to test my not so luck. But the walk was a nice touch from the past with light bright shows (I miss led ones )

Passing to get to north hill before the bus turns right

Then it was the stretch to walk my way up, handing the things over to the cupboard and then realsosong I've got to go toilet, so I did and then went for black jack, a few risque gambles but then it was £10 spent and lost too, I was close but it's was the high numbers either way . I then walked my way up to to the hoe, with glass ready to wear and then it was time to explorer

The Fun Fair and Crowds on the Hoe

It was quiet compared to tower year I'll give them that, but the rides ere still the way you wanted in terms of some star attractions like Stargate, chaos, tagada, city hopper and sizzler. They were pretty crowded but the crowds were easy to walk past and all.

A Viuew of the crowds and ridghes

But it was then very spaced out when it comes to it. The queues are long as always and it was then exploring part of the stage which all had  this rock rap group on and felt a bit corny, but it was walking past the crowds and then we made our way to the wet wok, since I've still wanting to go on a date there and the sky was clear too it felt like a bit of summer on the warm walk down.

The Crowds and the Stage in front

After this, I walked in there and a lovely lady served then I looked at the menu, it was £6 for crispy seaweed as a starter which I know that's a big increase due to the recently known of 8 months crisis, so I walked my way to the other side which was to the Barbican. Hopefully there was a Chinese there.

I eventually made my way and it was going on the road, some comments here and there but we got to the quay and then next to Bertie's was a Chinese takeout. I got there and waited for a while before the chap came in while his daughter was playing on iPhone, I ordered crispy seawed for a whopping £4.40 so that's a £1.60 saving compared by running across the hoe essentially, I went for that, had to wait 14 or so minutes due to having to source extra seaweed then it was going to be me to rush to find a viewing spot.

A View of the barbican at night with the lights

I eventually went to the bottom beach to the left of tinside and well I actually found a good new spot for a semi tradition, so I managed to set the tupoid up and then it was time to get the show on the bang.

The fireworks

The first display who was UK Firework Co. started of smooth but some good bangs here and there, the angle was good when filming with the tripod as well. It did have a good closure at the end.

Then it was getting to the second stage of the inbetween, this was the time to eat the seaweed, it was messy but it was really good, not as salty as others but still got its charm.

The crispy seaweed for £4.40 on the rucksack by the rocks

And I was then caught  by surprise it was 9:50 and the second display of  Distant Thunder Fireworks just happened, like I was having to rush and not fall on the rocks to get it on the tripod too. Then smudhes on the lenses. But I cleaned it and we kept going for it. This was more a dramatic display of the bangs and more colour than the other.

Then it was the quick break at 10pm before it was to be the final one Shockwave Pyrotechnics for the night. The sea relfecting in the city Scape is cute for sure and it was then time to make sure enough was given.

Then it was 22:20 and time to end, I helped a few people get past the rocks, packed my rubbish away then walked on to the hoe, this was also the used to rush for the 22:45 bus home and I was very close to missing that, but with the new changes it was time to take it easy.

a blurred look at the view

Slgthtly clearer at night

I walked past the kids side of the fairground before getting towards royal parade with passing slug and lettuce and turning right to ease some crowding, which then I lead to a corner shop opposite turtle bay restaurant.

The View of the fairground and the hoe

I was close to going for the Fanta shokata but not sure on that price since it did not seem to be the £1.99 pricing was not as clear with the washed out/faded sticker here. So, i walked out and made my way to Tesco which was opposite uni.

The view the roundabut including the barcode

I then walked in and the guard said "you have 1 minute" so it was a rush and well that rush lead to just purchasing a bottle of prime using the last £2 on Revolut then it was to rush ut, the whole lot was filmed and the chap asked about it while i was on the self service checkout too. But £2 spent (i regret it since £0.49 more could have gotten mre a Tango ice blast but German doner kebab ran out of the strawberry mix. Then i ran my way to the station,, which was getting pretty packed when I got there

Then it was to walk through the station to platform 4 to wai....fuck it was actually platform 5 so I had to run down the stairs then get the next part to the next step, else I would  have taken the class 150s to Exeter. But once i got on, it was finding a space and there was NONE facing the right way on the back coach, but I got to the other coach instead and there was about 2 rows of seats free, (half rows) so i got one with a clear window, but thank the charging ports for next to each seat, makes things easier. So i got on and the prime was laid to rest and then it was to wait for the train to depart.

The selfie on the train

Prime on the train

The train departed, gossip about a fight and a stolen phone to the right of me, drunk ladies in their 70s a few seats down, it was just the most busy I've ever been on train wise. But then it moving, and by 23:14, we were off, in the dark, wind blowing by and the sky in pitch black for some parts due to the cityscape being missed. We stopped at all the stations and it was just to drop off. But it was getting less crowded by the time it was at Bere Alston, since then I could move to a table seat in the right direction, there was no conductor onboard so that was meaning a paid ticket that didnt even need to be scanned in and £4.85 that could have been saved.

Eventauly it was Calstock and the drunk ladies left the train, starte hugging each other on the platform, then it was just me and a few orhers on that side of things, a 2 guys with their sons talking about NHS private work and other bits, but then it was the pure dark, the cold air on a clear night wind and we were approaching the end of the Wednesday in a literally few minutes away sense. Eventually the clocks past midnight as the train arrived back to its terminus. I thne walked off and it was time to  walk back up the hill.

Leaving the station

Then I got home about the 00:10 mark and got greeted by Rosie who then jumped on my bed, it was then some sauasage rolls and a donut to eat before I crashed out while checking some things out. And there you have it, another post in summer after the past few months of confusion and stress to deal with and that in itself will have more consequnces for the future. But for now
