Catching up for the rest of October

Well, things are getting tough and the last 2 weeks have been non-stop work since the events from Goosefair. With a few scams coming back to haunt me and also the Bike was in worse shape than previously thought.  With this mostly being highlighted before the end of the year blog posts will soon have to begin.

The Sunday after the goose fair.

So it was the Sunday after Goosefair and it was actually an appointment to get the bike sorted out and its first service which was going to be a shock on what to occur. So it was to then wake up at 9am. At 9:33am I was still in bed.

The selfie as I was still in bed with a lie-in

then after the fap, I got up and started to get changed before walking the dog since that would take time, especially as it was about 12pm when the time to get the train out to get the bike sorted. Walking the dog on the field was the usual, some browsing on dating apps and recently had some matches such as one girl from Camborne who matched me back but she asked if she was plump or soft.

Eventually, it was time to go and get things set, the bike had to be cleaned for a bit before its first service, then I rode it down to the station and got on, the ticket with railcard is £4.95 return which is an excellent value since it's like £6 a single before the railcard discount. I got on the train and it was scarily empty with only myself on that coach and the bike was strapped up, it was then to catch up with typing things up.

The view of the coach

The bike parked up

There was a wish of being able to meet up but since of the times of that happening without meeting up a choice of if it's real or not would be a gamble. The train semi got busier with 3 or four more people on this coach as I got towards Bere Alston.

The Bereal when on the train further

I eventually got off at about 12:58 and then had to rush my way to the bike place. I got there and explained bits and the chap was unsure, but he said to leave with them and I walked my way to Poundland which had some bits and pieces in but I decided to really travel to somewhere I've wanted to visit for a long time and that was the KJs Supermarket which had some of the bits of potential with getting some Chinese food. I walked my way down memory lane with Union Street and passed places like Rocksalt and even Lidl and Aldi where I got burgers from there many years ago.

As I walked, it was also surreal down these streets as Sundays are like the results of calm after a night out from that series I used to do of all-nighters, of the banter from Jesters (with also the time of buying girls a kebab when they fucked off in a taxi after with no progression, which leads to the walk to Cuba and Bang Bang which those still remind me of my first kiss and even the sunrises before the long run home. Eventually, I got there and it was nice to enjoy bits but the prices were much more expensive than I thought, after browsing around, I chose some bits like Katus curry blocks, Peking duck Sauce, Plum Sauce, Seaweed and even a bottle of Aloe Vera Juice, it came to about the £13 mark.

The Shopping from the Supermarket

I packed that In my rucksack then it was off to walk to the hoe to film some cameos. I managed to walk past the docks at Millbay. The last time I was there was the sailing championships. There was a bit of people out and about, and the docks were very quiet.

The views of Millbay

The Ferry was peacefully there and waiting before its sail to Santander

They were not too bad, The wind was a bit picking up but it was still calm by the sea. Eventually, it was nearing the 3 p.m. mark and time to return to the bike store.  There was calm and also some girl was saying "You can't have this ass" as I walked by the lido.

The Lido and the sky out

Then I was walking back and I got to the shop. Turns out the following happened:

  • The back brake pads are worn out
  • The back tyre needs to replace
  • The chain has gotten close to being worn out

So it was a quick chatter and then it was to the point of having them email me about booking the service since the train was in 20 and I left there about the 3:15 mark after paying £12.99 for the brake pads. Then I rushed to the train and just about got on with a few more people on the coach than the way in. By 3:19, I was off on the way home, in the nice lowering sun of the afternoon and then to get home and walk Rosie.  The weather was there but the wind was starting to pick up.

The selfie when walking Rosie

Then it was time to sort out bits before it was actually to get the editing done for those cameos since there was a deadline for at least one of them for hours later, and missi g that would mean less income, but that income was soon to be wasted on a fake name.

Then it was cooking a nice stir-fry curry with some other leftover katsu curry block to then boiling it and it was actually quite nice.   Then build it up with some chips air-fried..

The Katu vegetable curry, curry BBQ maize snacks, chips,

Then it was the start of another week

A hectic recovery week

So this was going to be the first few days of the week to sort out. Work was getting hectic and even if it was a chore, there were going to be long days ahead. Since that week was really to catch up on the chores, the weather was getting windier, it just made it tough. But even with the first day of just 3 visits to 2 regular customers, it felt familiar, but the middle job on the way, well 2 of them did push things a bit longer than expected, and then the issue with powerline learning was actually catching up with me on why the IP address was not working with the wireless powerline kit not feeding it through.

The views from an evening dogwalk when I got home

Then it was the leftover curry made up which led to another day of catching up on more shop work and more visits the day after, especially as it was going to be 2 people to see on that night, so that meant another later one. But especially having to close up due to panic from a friend as well, plus the 2 visits on top agree on the shop. But that gave me some time for those and also it was soon to be a new way of online dating matches. But then it was more mini snacks from lidl for £4.84. But I had to take the jerking green jar out.

Then mini lidl shop

This then led to Wednesday the final day of being by myself since later that day, my parents were back home, and meant not as long to rush back, since one was a bit of a going through steps which then was not too bad. Firefox can be a confusing piece of work for sure. But that day my ex-work colleague went back to old times to get me a gifted meat patty from around the corner. Which is ok but still queues cause queues. After that visit, I got back not too bad about the 19:50 mark

The meat patty was gifted from an ex-work colleague

Then it was a Thursday which in itself was fine but still another long day ahead, this time were email issues after work and also it was soon crushing on the jobs I had to get done with parts to order and iPads to heat up. I was then nagged for a lift home due to Naan not feeling herself due to an infection which is a repeat of February but this time a bit deeper, especially as she was looked after but still some things get missed as well.

The wet selfie for waiting for a lift home

As I was swiping left and right on dating apps and trying to get the fair blog posts typed up, it was never a dull moment in life and catching up on how this was going to be, that time off was needed and yet I felt it was getting wasted too.  But the weekend was approaching I forgot that was half term but this weekend was also the release of a very big title.  But I had the laugh on that wet run home on Friday when I was starting to notice the Skechers were starting to fail, which was scary because of the near slips on the greasy lanes. But in 1 hour and 17 minutes, from work to home was not bad since I forgot to get my hat from work which the LED was needed to help run home via the colcharton route to help on the safety side, but cars did run and honk as I was running up Newbridge. Greggs frozen sausage rolls and honey loops are a temporary combo at the time too.

The Friday night of noodles, ketchup, sausage roll, honey loops, chips, and even chocolate spread

TGhen it was Saturday which was a rush because of a PC build that had to be done the same day and I did get that squeezed in lucky delivery was just up the road, which helped, But the Microsoft store cheap mobile-style games can cause so many errors I makes a *** in my brain sometimes. Activation error I could not get a fix for but later emails told me it got fixed on itself is a weird flex. But that and after was another visit just up the road, before getting back to the shop about the 8 p.m. mark before packing up with bits and cycling home in the dark as soon as usual for the next few months.

Then it comes to the Sunday and it was a special day out.

A pumpkin patch visit

So it was the Sunday and it was going to be a semi-peaceful Sunday off was a guess but little did I know there was a booked day out, even with the fact I was close to having to work.  But that was a new change, it was a booking for a pumpkin patch visit. But first, it's to enjoy some breakfast of a toasted sandwich. This was something warm and with the magic bullet gone, well the cup was. It was time to use Mum's ninja blender for a frozen fruit smoothie using parts from a shopping trip to Iceland weeks ago.

The toasted sandwich with the frozen fruit smoothie.

But eventually, it was going to leave and we left from about 12:pm side, which was about 35 minutes drive. The rain was getting hit and miss with dry from home and rain on the way near chillaton or iron railings. We got there and were parked at the end of the field, then walked about back in boots. But we walked into the shop and it was packed, the car park was completely packed. So we looked and then it was going to get a pasty for lunch, I went for a Vegetable pasty.

The Vegetable pasty

Then it was to wait for the rest of the extended family in a sense to arrive in some time. Eventually, we met up and walked our way to the circus tent for the pumpkin patch. Sister scanned the QR codes and due to an app failing, it was actually a free entry to go into for this. But the crowds were packed, we passed the buffaloes of the American-style wool coating to them.

The buffalos

The carpark under the clouds and the sky

We then walked about and it was heaving, loads of different styles of pumpkins and different colours, but the way the archways were made was lovely to look at.

They look at archways

Then we explored the barn which had a fair bit of food stalls like pizza, churros and even some bakery bits, which then led to the open area, then led to an open area which included a lot of actual pumpkins on offer plus a bus which was selling ice creams.

The bus and the crowds

The range of pumpkins about

So it led to them exploring ther patch and it felt like a Hollywood sign affair, but loads were exploring.  There were some good-sized and shaped pumpkins about, Mum picked up one or two and even I managed to get one that looked like an alien or portal gun.

The more archways of pumpkins

Then we walked our way back to the entrance which was the exit, we had to take a bit longer waiting for our sister's family to get back to the entrance, but in time for the cream tea we were originally going to book. Then we finally left and got back to the car to then to switch shoes to trainers before we walked to the restaurant. It was not as busy but a fair few people in, I went toilet before we continued, which was a nice quick p,.

The buffalos enjoying the hay

Then we sat down and got taken or asked for a drinks order so I went with a lemonade I recall. But then it arrived with the picnic table of afternoon tea.

The cream tea of. Pumpkin Soup, Tirimasu, Brownies, Ham rolls, Pasty, Sausage Rolls, Apple Juice, Carrot cake and even the cream then jam scones

It was nice to go in some of the bits, the brownie dipped in the pumpkin soup and also the carrot cake and the tiramisu were a bit rich. But after chatter and all, it was time to leave and head off back to the shop to look around, from the books, dips, live honey and all that. I even saw or thought I walked past Bronti which is nostalgic, but probably not so much on my end since it led to another what-if from Emma years ago.

Eventually, we left and it was goodbye for a small while before it was catching up to normal life and a busy week of work to continue. It was nice to have a casserole in a way for tea but with the extra spice I needed to add, it was going to go through me a bit.

The casserole with the dumplings

So then it comes to the week and we start to really carry on.

Reality and catch-up hits for Half term.

I'm surprised half-term was about to happen already, with people going in and also jibs to finally get sorted due to people starting to put pressure on for it, plus the visits were going to be doubled up. So the Monday was meant to be quiet but it ended up with 3 people and the weather got hit and miss with rain in small sprouts. I mean that was to Luckett and invoices to catch up with are getting tricky, but getting used to the sumup was ok. That and also got to enjoy a pie for when I got home, which was not in dak just yet, as this was the final week before the clocks went back.

The chicken pie, garlic bread, pickle, baked beans, BBQ pringles and even fries and mayo to go with it

The Tuesday was also getting towards an interesting part with new matches, both later on would turn out to be scammers, but one was actually never replying to the messages, and one matched from the foodie's side too.  But it was going for more lessons and even with one phone call was just getting the exhausting evenings.  But it was the last time for got the chicken ham pie from the pukka pie which has a naff taste to me, but mixing it up helps with the flavour.

The Tuesday night of chicken bacon pukka pie, seaweed and even nice biscuits

Then it was Wednesday and another long day to be had, especially with the signs that recent storms were coming into play here, especially how things are. Still, it was 2 visits to sort out which led to me having to go to get some sauce and extras from Morrisons on the way home. Since it was actually getting to pick up some leftover change to pick up bits, instead of garlic alloli, it was going for a chilli onion sauce called kebab, which was actually going to be the go-to sauce for the next few days. It was getting spitty as I was leaving Morrisons. I didn't go for the alloli in the end due to budgeting, which saved me £1.50

The £1.73 shop from Morrisons £1.50 for spicy kebab sauce, £0.14 for bloomer and mixed meats for £0.09

This then was to catch the vibe of getting home, the roads were not soaked compared to how it was coming to be with the weather. I eventually got home and then it was time for leftover bits.

The selfie on the way

From the tea when I got home, Cottage Pie, Sausage Roll, Seaweed, salad, mixed meats, spicy kebab sauce

Then it was going to be a long day on Thursday which involved another run home, emails were going to be a pain in the neck But it was somewhat closer for this and eventually, it led to another run home in the rain, which overlooked the valley, passing colcharton is a nice touch to get the best of both safety and also quickest time. The views can be nice in the night sky and the hat with the LED helps.

The selfie from the view

The fog and valley

But then it was also a run home but a customer picked me up as he was passing me, So that sped some time up and back home at about 8:45 instead of 9:15 odd. but it led to a leftover batter sausage and chips to go with more extras too. This was also the time that Snapchatting someone but little did I realise things were getting to a hold and moving on was the way. With the fact I wanted to get things sorted with the final railcard renewal before I turned 31, things were tight from mistakes with a girl supposedly from Bristol demanding food the week before.

The meal from Thursday night, Batter Sausage, chips, sausage roll, salad, chocolate nut clusters, bloomer

Then it was Friday and things were about the same, work non but things were easing off on jobs which felt good, online dating apps were seeing it to go well but little did I know it was going to lead to the same mistakes. But it felt like times were on a mixed level. But sometimes it's something nice like a microwave meal to get home to, it was not too soaked with some of the evening weather yet.

The Selfie overlooking the valley again

But Saturday was going to be the time to actually get one more visit done before having to force the tills to clear up, since that was about to cause the business to collapse, but before that was an SSD to set up for someone who has been 3 weeks overdue on that. But walking back to the shop was nice in the view before another pack up and cycle home.

The view from town with the moon out.

The final few days of the spooky month

Then it was the final Sunday in October and time to have a semi-day off since of the fact the things needed to be accounted for and also it was overdue for another side of the family chores to see which there was news that Nan was not feeling very good and could be the last.  But it was also the time to be able to enjoy a nice toasted sarnie for breakfast along with the other fact of a nice mini lunch too.

Anothertoasted sandwich for breakfast

Which then after getting the admin done, it was time to face the music and visit Nan, which first me and dad walked around the aerodrome, with the rain holding off until the last part on the way back, which was the end,  was then time to get the shoes on before spending time with naan while she recovers.

The rainbow covering

A selfie when seeing the rainbow

Nan was nice, she smiled at me but she was still recovering from her infection. She didn't know who I was but for the first time ever, she asked me. "Do you have a girlfriend" which actually took me back to my past and it was going to remind me of what I'm missing out on and probably explains why online dating app use is getting a bit over the top a few times a day in my work routine. But after that it was son time to head back home and leave Nan nice and peaceful in bed, her ged anyway. After that, we drove back home another time to take things a bit easier and then get the admin sorted. But that and it was a nice soup for the tea too.

The soup of Broccoli and Cauliflower, along with bread, chicken leg plus Worcester crisps make it nicer too.

The Final 2 days of October.

As thongs were going to be the final two days, with the settling down of the season of spooks and busy times, it was going to be the way things get out of control. It already started with a late-night text from someone I should have blocked asking for help from being stranded in Plympton and all this "I know its not fair on you" but actually not sorting out the fixing of the one-sided, like buttons will push and it will get things cut off like I should have done properly after August.

but for me, it was enjoyable conversations with more greedy Scottish cuties of the alt variety and also the fact of trying to reach out to the potential matches on Tinder and Hinge (well mainly 1). The first of this was getting to the point of having to rush to the shop to prepare for a lesson.  then ti picked up a laptop before a warranty job in Estover. Thay in itself was nice and calm but it also most meant due to a visit after would have been an opportunity to spend some free time in the city when the clocks have now gone back. In the end, it was actually getting money paid in 2 stages along with finally getting a cheap drink.

A selfie when a pony walked towards me at Clearbook

The £0.35 drink which happened right as a customer called me for an update on the things I've mentioned to him in previous to then realise has come true.

Then it was to sort out one more visit before a bit of a last-minute £5 splurge on lidl which had some deals on cranberry juice of the last 4 cartons plus the vitamins were needed and chocolate for the family since I do owe them for that. Just under £5 was a good spend.

The £4.494 shop, £3 for 2 x cranberry juice, £0.99 for bubble chocolate and £0.95 for vitamin c tablets

The ut was to come home and enjoy a meal before the rest of this to rush on the typing up, let alone enjoy the final day of the month, with the spooky season well itself and its effects here. But the final day was another set of visits one after another which was some good charm that I was finally slowly getting to catch up on things. Sure bills I had to sort out and still have not invoice people after months and sure some products I had to push back but yet rush on ordering due to fucking warranty issues with some supplies being arrogant, but in the end, it is what it is. Shame Cajun slices had cheese otherwise I would have taken it from the fridge on the Cycle Hill home by the community fridge.

The cajun bake slice I was going to go for the but didn't

then it was coming home and making a soup into a pasta sauce which was nice and thick adding pasta and micraving the soup, it does make a good difference for sure. But the scones were top-notch air-fry and carbs after a long cycle in the rain are
nice too.

The broccoli cauliflower soup turned into a pasta sauce with added katsu curry block, ready-salted potato sticks, sones, bread, salad cream and even a bit of spicy kebab sauce

And there you have it, it was time to end this month and the start of the finally 2 months were ahead. Soon it will be time to start the end of the year post and enjoy gossip of the chats over the year mistakes that have been made and worse mental health, but light will be at the end of the tunnel at some point if not nagged for trying to make time for X and Y then get moaned at for having late nights like even jow typing this up until 01:30am to catch up on this.

Take care
